4. Innovative training/empowerment content | Curriculum for natural disaster health activities of public health nurses (PHN). Japan is now super aging society, as you know, and has been also a region with many natural disasters. Especially since 2000, disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, volcanoes, and heavy rains, have continued frequently. One region of Hiroshima is located in mountainous, insular and urban areas. The paper of this exploratory study in this region is now accepted by one Japanese Society Journal and was aimed to identify the self-efficacy on PHNs' disaster health activities in the normal conditions, when it was a half year before Torrential rains in West Japan on July of 2018. Torrential rains attacked in this region heavily. We will show this curriculum in this paper, now in press, and this curriculum, that was done for PHN training in this area, seemed to be effective against Torrential rains. However, this paper is Japanese-written and I must translate into English to share it. Information to prepare for disaster is quite important for regional network which consisted in citizens, companies and professions. You can build up your resistance against disasters by yourselves. |
