On October 11th 2024, vice-chair Willeke van Staalduinen presented the Reference Framework of the COST Action and the Social Innovation Framework of SIRENE at the Gerontological Days 2024 International Scientific Conference. The presentation took place at the Session of the Association for Women’s Career Development In Hungary. The session was organised by NET4 MC member Andrea Ferenczi and was chaired by Agnes Stomp of the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Health Sciences, Hungary.
Willeke presented the approach on both frameworks by introducing the Garcia Family and the solutions they and stakeholders such as policymakers, health and care, science and academia, developers and investors could develop and deploy to enable social participation, health and well-being, independent living and sustainable environments. SIRENE’s Social Innovation Framework and its building blocks, the Cloud-based repository, the learning modules of NET4Age on impact, business modelling, user-friendly design and integrated care and well-being were part of the presentation. She gave a foresight on the SHAFE Foundation (founded in 2021) that will sustain and expand the achieved results for the implementation of Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments (SHAFE).
