NET4Age-Friendly Training School Tackles AI, Ethics, and Medical Applications

From September 10-12, the NET4Age-Friendly Training School took place in Prague, Czech Republic, bringing together 30 students and expert speakers to explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), ethics, and medical applications.

The event, hosted by Lenka Lhotská, featured engaging lectures and discussions. Lenka, Carina Dantas, Vladimir Trajkovik, Tatjana Loncar Turukalo, David Macku, Jaromir Dolezal and Jindrich Adolf contributed with their expertise, emphasizing the growing role of AI in healthcare and its ethical implications.

Students actively participated, fostering enriching discussions on how technology can be safely and securely applied in health and social care, while aligning with regulations like the EU AI Act and GDPR. The school highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure ethical and effective technological solutions for ageing populations.
