NET4Age-Friendly was disseminated by Action member Francisco Melero, at the Medea Academy 2023 - Home Integrated Care at the turning point: Innovation as the way forward for services sustainability, held in June 26-29, 2023 at Fattoria di Maiano, Florence, Italy.
The session on Service Innovation Value Chain featured a presentation by the Dissemination grantee on the NET4Age-Friendly COST Action overall aims and work and the SHAFE holistic approach.
The main objectives and results achieved so far were highlighted during the presentation and the grantee's participation increased the visibility of the Action among research communities at the event, that spanned throughout the four areas of the quadruple helix approach: citizens, public authorities, civil society, and academia.
Networking actions were explained and promoted, particularly the open calls for Virtual Mobility (VM) and Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs), as well as the call for trainees for the Skopje Training School in September.
Students and stakeholders were strongly encouraged to apply and become part of the Action by participating in any of these opportunities.
The MEDEA Academy, co-organized by an international partnership, was designed to offer a unique multidisciplinary training experience for early career researchers and stakeholders who are focusing on the different domains related to innovation in integrated care services. The Academy, through a multi-disciplinary and cross-sectors perspective, delivered formal teaching, practical experiences and working groups over a period of 4 days around enabling technologies, health, social science, service policies and sustainability. Due to the strong international connotation, its specific education format, the coaching and the intense working group activities, the Academy contributed to strengthen the synergy between research and services communities and enable strategies to promote collaboration, best practice sharing and introduction of service innovation towards a more effective, sustainable, personalized home integrated care.
