How older people experience the age-friendliness of Skopje

With the aim preparation for caring out the research “How older people experience the age-friendliness of the Skopje”, with financial support of Cost Action 19136 Net4Age-Friendly in the period from 25.11.2022 to 02.12.2022 I realised Short-Term Scientific Mission in The Hague University of Applied Sciences. During the STSM were realised the following activities:

  1. Meeting with Prof. Joost van Hoof of The Hague University of Applied Sciences on the AFCCQ (The Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Questionnaire) measuring tool and demographic analysis of the city of Skopje. Host of the consortium meeting.
  2. Meeting with Dr. Jeroen Dikken of The Hague University of Applied Sciences on the AFCCQ measuring tool and demographic analysis of the city of Skopje.
  3. Meeting with the representatives of the project City & Co (representatives from the The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) Netherlands, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration from Romania and AFEdemy from Netherlands) for exchange of good practices and informations about research of Age-friendly Cities. Online attendance and discussion with Dr Helen Barrie and Prof Veronica Soebarto from Adelaide, Australia.
  4. Meeting with Corrie Ebbers LLM and Huib Gardeniers LLM on privacy and legal aspects of making a GeoPortal for evaluating age-friendly cities, and privacy-by-design.
  5. Meeting with Mr Martin van der Beek of the company ObjectVision on GeoPortals and layers of data for the analysis of neighbourhoods.
  6. Meeting with representatives of the municipality of The Hague responsible for Age-friendly City activities and attendance at Presentation of the Action programme Age-friendly The Hague 2020-2022 by Ms. Kylian Kokshoorn
  7. Meeting with representative of The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) by Mr Ronald Bellekom
  8. Visit the Community Centre ‘Haags Ontmoeten Rivierenbuurt’ by Mrs. Irene Meijers.

During the STSM, we defined the following steps:

  1. Detailed stratified research sample for each of the municipalities in city of Skopje.
  2. The steps for selecting and preparation of the student who will collect the data.
  3. The procedure for organising the data and preparation for data processing.
  4. The procedure for data processing. 
  5. The data analysis procedure.
  6. The data interpretation procedure.
