On the 29 September, the Action Chair Carina Dantas was a speaker at the Panel Discussion on the plenary session Digital Health Trends & Tendencies, moderated by Maria do Céu Machado, with the participation of Member of the European Parliament Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, Anne Geubelle, Pedro Ramos and Bárbara Macedo to discuss:

  • the European Health Data Space, literacy, privacy and personalized medicine
  • the use of Artificial Intelligence
  • the need to have person-centred health pathways
  • promoting healthy lives - focusing on prevention and SHAFE
  • the need to involve all actors in the discussion - and have serious commitments – though social innovation
  • the urgency of bringing urban planning, housing and architecture into the health discussion
  • the need to empower citizens for more intervention, more literacy, more power

The Global Health Forum is the one of the biggest healthcare events of the year in Portugal, bringing together renowned national and international experts to find solutions to the main challenges that people and governments will face in the coming years. It aimed to raise our individual and collective awareness of the role of healthcare as a fundamental element of economic development, social cohesion and the well-being and security of citizens.
