NET4Age-Friendly and the SHAFE network were represented at the Rural Pact Conference by our Vice-Chair and Grant Holder Willeke Van Staalduinen.
The Rural Pact aims to strengthen the multi-level governance for the EU’s rural areas and there is a strong link with the work we have been performing in our COST Action.
This was a high-level political event, where European institutions and Member States were able to discuss the best way to implement a comprehensive rural strategy across Europe. During this conference, Willeke van Staalduinen highlighted the value of the required digital transformation on rural areas as a tool to make them more connected and prosperous.
